The Ouroboros

The symbol of the snake holding or consuming its own tail, represents a kind of endless return, eternity, self-holding.

I need an anchor, and end, but also a place to begin this work. The Ouroboros is this beginning, and this end. The silent Aleph that comes before, and the period that marks the end.

I begin this work with the feelings of excitement, and a kind of exhilaration. Also, I do have a sense for the aim or telos, although I am open to the mystery of that being something different than what I am capable of imagining today.

It is also a symbol of the space I may turn to for self renewal. A creative space that has become more of a way of being, where I return to let go of what is no longer living, the old skin, and come into what is new within myself.

Welcome and thank you for joining me on this journey.
